UMPIRE MONITORING
As discussed at the Winter League Meeting, we are running an umpire monitoring scheme during the Winter League. Monitoring will be starting mid January.
Our monitoring team is headed by Kim Murphy & Sally Eyre. They will be at the courts on 4 or 5 random nights during the remainder of the winter season, with the aim of monitoring as many of our umpires as is possible.
The idea of the scheme is to carry out helpful and constructive observations on games, identifying areas where umpires are competent and any areas where umpires could improve their skills or knowledge.
The Monitors will introduce themselves, so don't worry - teams will know the nights which are being monitored!
Teams and umpires are welcome to discuss any umpiring issues with the Monitors. Feedback will be given to all monitored umpires at the end of the season.
If you have any questions about the scheme, or would like to ensure you are included in the monitoring process, please contact Gilly or Karen.
